Customs officer under investigation over suspicious fire

A thorough inquiry is being conducted by the customs services with the main collector of the port of Algiers in the wake of a financial damage estimated at 40 million Algerian Dinars, sources have revealed.

• The woman officer involved in the inquiry was heard by the investigators all day long from 10 am to 5 pm because she is in charge of the warehouse where the seized goods are stockpiled.

•  

• The customs general directorate has sent an investigating committee the day before yesterday on spot to asses the work of the investigators and draw up the first conclusions.
