Customs’ Director General sacks top manager over gas scandal
The Director General of the Algerian customs M Bouderbala has relieved of his duties the regional manager of the province of Ouargla, southern Algeiria, and replaced him by Ahmed Kheriss as an acting manger, in the wake of numerous gross mismanagements.

Reliable sources have revealed to Echourouk that a delegation made up of the head of Human Resources alongside the Deputy Inspector General and a manager from the customs’ federation were dispatched yesterday to Ouargla in a move to notify the decision to the former manager and proceed with his replacement.

The same sources have indicated that the investigations are still underway and the case of the sacked manager will be forwarded to justice after the completion of the procedure.
