Dead Bodies of 5 Algerian Illegal Migrants in Spain Brought Home

Air Algerie starts on Wednesday carrying home dead bodies of the five Algerian illegal migrants who perished off Spain’s coasts in mid October.

 

Head of the European Federation for Algerian Associations, Nouredine Belmedah told Echorouk reporter that the first trip is scheduled for Wednesday from Alecante airport to Es-Sania airport in Oran, as two dead bodies belonging to Toufik Bouabdellah and Laadjal Boubker will be carried. He added that a second trip is scheduled for January 6th which is to bring home bodies of Moussa Belherouat and Djamel Hemarid; and the last trip is scheduled for January 8th, on which the body of late Sadoune Larbi will be carried back home.

 Mr Belmedah further mentioned that the five perished illegal migrants will be buried on their home city, namely Hedjadj, in the province of Mostaghanem.

The federation has managed to bring home the dead bodies thanks to the cooperation of Algerian officials, including Secretary of State for Nationals Installed Abroad, Halim Ben Attallah and Algeria Ambassador to Spain, Mr Belmmedah concluded, noting that the Foreign Ministry paid some 20 thousand Euros as transport fees.
