Demands to block websites of homosexuality, advocates of atheism
At a time when President Abdelaziz Bouteflika signed a Presidential Decree that includes the creation of the National Commission for the Prevention from crimes that are related to information, communication and control technologies and combat them, an Algerian illegal association which is called “colors”, declares solidarity of youth to demand the rights of homosexuals in Algeria, and celebrated on October 10 its “National Day”, under the slogan “Tin Tin”, as it invited to lighting candles and to publish pictures of the celebration on Twitter and facebook.
The association said it aims to combat all forms of discrimination against gays and lesbians, asking for the repeal of articles in the Algerian Penal Code which condemns any homosexual practice, noting in particular to Articles 333 and 338 bis.
In this context, the lawyer, Ibrahim Bahlouli, a professor in the Faculty of Law in Ben Aknoun, asserted that the National Commission for the Prevention from Cyber Crime has the right to pursue members of the association judicially, after proving its presence in Algeria, because the gays category is violation the human nature and what was brought by the true religion, which is contrary to public morals, customs and traditions.
“Dozens of electronic crimes along the lines of the call to demand the rights of homosexuals in Algeria, cannot determine legal loopholes around it, but the exercise of actual electronic activity in the Algerian institutions, and various economic, political, social, and cultural activities, because the material incident according to the law makers preceded the legal incident.”
“Search on electronic crimes, identification and adjusting the nature and risks can only be realized through the effective exercise of electronic means that are in line with the times, as the means and devices are available to determine the electronic crime before the Commission’s work.”
For his part, Secretary General of the National Coordination of Imams, Sheikh Djaloule Hadjimi, said that the creation of websites to claim fraud and infringement of the teachings of our religion in the national territory, is an electronic crime, but he believes that the repression by the National Commission for the prevention of crimes that are related to information technology and communication, does not come in such cases, only after the awareness and rationalization, and giving a chance to the seduced youth to give up the destructive ideas.
“Mosques play an important role in addressing cyber crimes and combating them through the religious discourse, which is a treatment before taking the necessary action by the concerned body.”
