Dozens of Sudanese clubs and associations vowed to stand by Algeria against Egypt

The Algerian ambassador to Khartoum, Sudan, Mohammed Yerki has indicated that all conveniences were put at the disposal of the Greens to make of their preparation pending the play off match versus Egypt a total success.

  • In a telephone conversation with Echourok, the ambassador has revealed that the preparations for the Greens’ stay started since last Wednesday when the FIFA has designated Sudan to play the host for the play off match. The “Greens” will dwell in a five star hotel “ Bordj Al Fateh” and have not to worry about  their security because the country is safe contrary to some Western media’s reports that pen it as an unstable one.

  • Concerning the pitches on which the Algeria squad is set to train, the ambassador has indicated that he had personally supervised them and judged them very satisfactory adding that the stadium on which the match is due to take place that belongs to Al Merikh Sudanni meets the international standards that make it fit for these types of matches.

  • The ambassador went on saying that the Sudanese foreign affairs ministry in collaboration with its embassy in Algiers has decided to grant the visa entry for thousands of fans upon their arrival at Khartoum international airport in order to facilitate the procedures to the maximum.

  • M Mohammed Yarki has indicated that the Algerian embassy in Khartoum was overwhelmed by telephone calls from several Sudanese sports clubs and associations that requested Algerian flags in order to support the Algeria squad during the match versus Egypt.
