Education: Daily census of school pupils to thwart possible kidnappings
Services of the National Gendarmerie prepared a new plan for the School and Social Entry, as they deployed various units of police and gendarmerie for the operational teams by keeping all the fixed and mobile teams, as well as strengthening supervision, especially at the level of all educational institutions to protect pupils from attacks and kidnappings, as all drivers have been warned of using excessive speed, especially after they recorded 330 deaths and 5,260 injured among pupils during this year.
School headmasters received strict instructions from the services of the gendarmerie urging them to be vigilant and launch daily follow-up and statistics for kids pupils in their schools.
A statement by the cell of communication at the Leadership of the National Gendarmerie, a copy of it available to Echorouk, said that in preparation for the school and social entry, and in pursuit of the services of the national gendarmerie to contribute to its success, and in coordination with the relevant authorities in the full territory of the National Gendarmerie at the level of all Wilayas of the country, a program has been prepared and actions related to fulfill the appropriate conditions and security measures have been taken for the benefit of educational institutions.
These actions that have been taken by the services of the National Gendarmerie, at the level of all Wilayas of the country aim to provide security in the perimeter of all educational institutions “primary and middle schools, high schools as well as universities and university neighborhoods”, and this by securing and intensifying patrols of gendarmes to monitor the vicinity and the outskirts of these institutions, especially in the mornings during the school entry, as well as the evenings when pupils go out from schools in order to facilitate traffic near these institutions, and to preserve the smoothness and security of pupils, students, teachers and professors from all possible cases of attacks and crime.
