Education: Primary schools' teachers to benefit from promotions
Ministry of education decided to promote teachers of primary schools to higher ranks, provided that they will be subject to training for one year instead of three years, across institute of training and improve the level in the whole country.
In the meantime, the ministry decided to keep the employees that are integrated in the new ranks in the same degrees, and without degradation. Therefore, the ministry responds to a set of demands that were raised by independent education syndicates.
Manager of users at the ministry of education, Abdelhakim Bousahia, told Echorouk, that the minister of national education decided to promote primary education teachers to higher positions directly after a one year of training. Therefore, the primary school teacher will be promoted to rank 11, and professor of basic education to rank 12 , parallel to settling their situation as soon as possible, by issuing a common ministerial decision between the ministries of education, high education and scientific research.
“New executive order includes the newly created ranks like professor trainer and education supervisor instead of assistant, as draft laws were prepared to include the nature of exams, competitions and programs, that were not included in the previous decisions, and as soon as they will be approved, education ministry will launch exams in all new branches especially with regard to the promotion of education assistants from the scale 8 to 10”, he added.
