Education unions vow to resume protests
The National Federation of Education Workers has yesterday pledged to stage a string of protests to denounce the precarious conditions of the employees of the sector. They have called for the increase of the rate of the bonuses at a level of 60% instead of 20%.

In a move to avert these turbulences, the education minister Abu Bakr Ben Bouzid has summoned the federation for a meeting at the ministry’s premises in order to discuss their claims.

The communiqué released by the Federation puts the focus on the “ necessity to apply the same compensation system enacted in the other sectors of the civil service for the education one”.

In a declaration to Echourouk, the Federation’s chief Laid Boudaha has indicated that” the Federation warns against any attempt to play with the employee’s fate pledging to go on a series of protests in case where they do not obtain concrete commitments from the relevant authorities at the end of the meeting “.
