Education: UNPEF to continue the open strike

National Union of Education and Training Workers, announced on continuing its open strike until receiving a joint draft in a finalized form, which includes all the demands that were dropped, while it called for the need to remedy and include them urgently.
A statement by the union, explained that it will call the National Council to decide about the open protest movement, whether by stopping strike or by continuing it, stressing that the demands that have been dropped from the joint record that was signed by the employees of public service and the Ministry of National Education is 13, mainly related to the settlement of the status of teachers of basic education, and primary school teachers who have completed their training after June 3, 2012, and who are under training, to benefit from the ranks that were created, like head and trainer in appreciation of their professional experience.
“Valuing professional experience to allow Teachers of Technical Education PTLT, to benefit from the created ranking like head and trainer, with enabling the staff of economic services to get pedagogical grant, as well as the census of those who are at the doors of retirement, and who take advantage of integration in the created ranks, after the Ministry of Education promised, in the meeting of May, 29, 2013, in addition to the collection of experience that is acquired by teachers of the middle school education, who were teachers in the primary schools, as well as secondary school teachers, who were teachers in the middle schools, and then have been chosen after a university exam to benefit from the created ranks.”
“Along t with the integration of educational assistants who have experience of 10 years to the rank of supervisor, and 20 years to the rank of director and stop the external recruitment, with the need to sit for the professional exam in 2014, and the same thing with the laboratories, giving choice to advisers of Education and principals between the two solutions that were proposed in the joint draft proceedings, the automatic transfer to positions for successful in the professional examinations, direct upgrading of the created positions, activating exceptional licenses for the benefit of teachers and professors of basic education, who were upgraded between 2008/2012, to find a solution for advisers of school feeding and the staff of guidance and the school and training center’s counselors, with respect to the opening of prospects for upgrading.”
