Egypt's Ambassador in Algeria: “Algeria will be the first destination of Egyptian foreign Minister”
Egypt's Ambassador in Algeria, Azzedine Fahmi, has declared at Echorouk's Forum that President Abdellaziz Bouteflika has asked him about the situation unfolding in Egypt and told him that this country is dear to him on many accounts.

The distinguished guest of “Echorouk” said that President Abdellaziz Bouteflika had overstepped the tension which beset in the recent past Algerian – Egyptian relations and expressed to him the will to further enhance the ties of brotherhood and cooperation between the two Arab countries.

- The Egyptian Ambassador also revealed that President Bouteflika had told him that the value of Egypt had increased at the Arab level after having decided to open the Rafah crossing point between Egypt and the Gaza strip.
- He also stressed that Algeria would be the first destination of the newly-appointed Egyptian foreign minister, Ahmed Arabi, with the aim of paving the way for the setting up of a joint bilateral commission designed to further bolster Algerian – Egyptian cooperation and exchanges in various fields of endeavour.
