Eid Al Fitr: Algerians withdraw 16 billion DZ in 5 days
Many public sectors, public and private enterprises will bring forward payroll for their employees ahead of Eid Al Fitr while some of them will grant “Eid Allowance” to help vulnerable people. Director of Algerie Poste said all the necessary measures related to payroll on time were taken.
The National Police will pay its 180,000 employees’ wage between August 2nd and 5th instead of August 14th.
The national education ministry will pay its 600,000 employees’ wage four days before the Eid Day.
The health ministry will bring forward pay wage to August 4th instead of August 13th in attempt to give its employees enough time to buy Eid items.
General Director of Algerie Poste Mohamed Laid Mahloul told Echorouk Monday pay wage in different sectors was brought forward and will be on time.
“Exceptional measures will be taken on Eid Al Fitr. Agents working for Algerie Poste will help old people, pensioners and disabled persons to get their salaries at home,” he said.
He added that withdrawn money from 3,500 post offices and money machines reached record levels ahead of Eid Al Fitr. It went up to 16 billion DZ compared to 10 billion DZ early in Ramadan.
“Those are very high figures compared to the other days and they will double in the next week. Algerian families will withdraw their money to buy new clothes for the Eid.”
