End of mission for Mansouri, Guaouaoui and Saifi in the national football team

The Algerian Football federation ( FAF) has decided to exclude the midfielder Djamel Abdoun definitely form the Algerian squad for disciplinary reasons , a reliable sources close to the chairman has revealed

• The decision was made right after the defeat against the United States last Wednesday where the player has openly criticized his coach’s choice of putting him on the bench while, according to him, he was fit to play and the coach would have given him a chance; which the technical staff and the chairman of the federation didn’t accept.
•   The same sources have indicated that this was not the first time that Djamel Abdoun showed his discontent for being counted out in a match but did it in several occasions, including the match versus Slovenia. Abdoun’s behavior has affected the serenity of the group in South Africa, it said.
• In addition to the exclusion of Djamel Abdoun, the Algerian federation has decided to push aside the goalkeeper Lounes Guaouaoui, Rafik Saifi and Mansouri considering that they are no more fit to play for the Algerian national squad on account of their advanced age.
• The defender Habib Belaid , who plays for the French club “Boulogne- Sur- Mer” will also ousted from the Algerian club because he didn’t really convinced the technical staff although he was given a chance to prove his abilities during the friendly versus Ireland last May.
