Exclusive: Brad Pitt on Angelina and their £8m twins

The Brangelina twins are set to become the most expensive celebrity babies ever born as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie spend £8MILLION to ensure the safe – and extremely luxurious – arrival of the tots in August.

The revelation that Brad has ordered that “no expense be spared” comes after his heavily-pregnant girlfriend suffered a series of health scares.

The 44-year-old Fight Club star is engineering a military-style operation to make the birth go as smoothly as possible and safeguard the health of Angelina and the new twins – both believed to be girls.

Speaking exclusively to the Sunday Mirror, excited Brad beamed as he revealed: “Angelina is doing really good now, thanks.”

The glowing Tomb Raider star, Brad and their four children have decamped from New Orleans to Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen’s villa in the South of France in preparation for the most hotly-anticipated celebrity birth since… well, since the arrival of their first biological daughter Shiloh in Namibia two years ago.

A friend says: “Everything feels right. The kids are happy with the seaside and pool, and Brad’s dying to explore the French countryside on his bike.”

Speaking at the Cannes Film Festival last week – which the couple attended for the premiere of Ange’s new movie Kung Fu Panda – Brad told us: “I’ve been learning French. But the kids are doing it too – and they are better than me.”

Angelina’s mother was French and she wants her children to learn the language.

She says: “French is a second language in our house. Being here is very good for their language skills.” She adds: “I’m very happy.

“Unlike most women, I love being pregnant.

“You just feel like everything about your body is there for your baby. I’m sitting and talking a lot, and everybody’s being very nice to me.”

She also revealed how she has been preparing the rest of the brood for the two new arrivals.

“Our three-year-old and our four-year-old keep saying they have animals in their bellies,” she jokes.

“So our daughter keeps saying that she’s got little piggies and she has to eat brownies because the piggies need to eat brownies.

“And our four-year-old says he’s got monkeys. So it’s become fun in the house.”

Meanwhile, Brad has planned everything down to the last detail. As soon as her contractions start, a helicopter will whisk Angelina, 32, and her entourage on an eight-minute flight to a private hospital in Monaco.

Brad has already done a practice run. With the family expected to make several trial runs and routine check-ups, ferrying Angelina and her team could cost £20,000 for around 20 trips. That’s on top of flying between the US and France in their private jet – easily a £40,000 trip.

Angelina will stay in a deluxe suite at a cost of £4,000 a night. In France and Monaco, new mums stay in hospital for up to five days. So that’s at least £20,000. It is thought Brad will want his own room in the hospital… another £10,000.

And despite the hospital providing all the care the couple will need, it is also thought Brad will fly in their private obstetrician. During Shiloh’s birth, the couple’s baby specialist from LA, Jason Rothbart, was on hand to assist local staff. Dr Rothbart is set to earn around £50,000 if he stays on 24-hour call for 90 days. To rent a villa for him would cost up to £30,000.

Angelina will enjoy £250-a-time meals prepared by the hospital’s top chef. That’s £4,000 if she has three meals a day for five days. Monaco has one of the most expensive restaurants in the world – Alain Ducasse’s Michelin-starred Louis XV. If Ange tires of the hospital fare, she can order a takeaway – for around £1,000.

Looking good while pregnant doesn’t come cheap either. Ange’s £50,000 maternity wardrobe includes a £3,000 Herve Leger vintage dress and day frocks at £1,200 each.

Security alone will cost around £10,000 a day. Based on a three-month stay, the couple could spend £900,000 on protection. Then there are the nannies. Four £200-a-day babysitters will cost around £72,000 for 90 days.

Add to that tutors for the older kids, at around £300 a day… another £27,000.

French teachers from Nice will cost around £800 a day – or £72,000 for 90 days. And, of course, we can’t have the kids looking scruffy.

The couple are likely to shell out £10,000 on baby clothes, £4,000 on cots, a further £1,000 on toys, and £1,000 on nappies and feeding equipment. That’s a total of £16,000.

New buggies have been purchased – costing at least £2,000 for two. The ever-expanding family will also need a big new car – add £100,000.

And once the twins are delivered, Brad will undoubtedly fly in friends and family from all over the world to wet the babies’ heads – at a cost of £100,000.

Angelina has also promised the rest of her brood a £10,000 “siblings’ party” to welcome the new arrivals.

And Brad will have to top the £1million diamond he gave Ange after Shiloh’s birth. She may get a £2m sparkler this time… it is twins, after all.

So, it would seem the £5million sum being bandied about for exclusive magazine rights to the first photos of the babies will come in handy.

Not so… People magazine’s reported £2million for Shiloh’s first snaps went to charity. When the Jolie-Pitts do their sums this time, will they be as generous?
