FAF File Complaint to the FIFA Against Fecafoot
The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) announced on their website that they have filed a complaint to the FIFA over the non commitment of the Cameroonian Football Association (Fecafoot) with the friendly game with Algeria.
“The FAF filed complaint to the FIFA and yeti s due to uses all legal means to defend their interests against prejudice caused by the non commitment of the Cameroun football squad to play the scheduled friendly with Algeria,” a statement issued on Wednesday after the meeting of the FAF executive bureau reads.
The statement notes that the act of the Cameroon football squad is “deplorable and unacceptable”, as the players acted with “unsporting manner to serve regretful money ends on the expanse of sport ethics.”
However, president of Fecafoot have sent on Wednesday an apology letter to the FAF. The letter signed by Fecafoot president Mohammed Iya, reads “the Fecafoot regret and apology for the bother caused to the Algerian football family.”
Yet, such apology letter will not deter the FAF from seeking compensations to the FIFA, observers said.
A recent statement of the FAF reads that “The postponement is due to an internal administrative problem in the Cameroon team,” and went on to describe their opponents’ withdrawal as “unacceptable, peculiar and unsporting.”
