FBI executives to meet Algerian justice delegation in Washington

Series of negotiations held between14- 17 July between an Algerian justice delegation led by the justice minister, Tayeb Belaiz and representatives from the FBI as well as justice and secretary of state representatives, in which a deal was sealed concerning partnership in the criminal field between Algeria and the United states.

• This agreement comes against the backdrop of the FBI announcement to open a branch here in Algeria to face the threats of the “Salafit Group” in the region of the Maghreb.
• On the other hand, the justice minister’s representatives met with their US counterparts to discuss opportunities to draw up a special program dedicated to the Algerian judges as concerns organized crime as well as judicial cooperation.
