Feghouli Clinches FIFA Green Light to Join Desert Foxes
The FIFA has given the green light to Valencia’s midfielder, Sofian Feghouli, to join the Algerian football team, Algeria Football Federation (FAF) said on its official website, Sunday.
Feghouli 22 could be part of the squad’s next games, including friendlies against Tunisia and Cameroon scheduled in Algiers, respectively on 12 and 15 November.
Yet, the French born player is the first to join the squad of his country of origin, after the controversial scandal of racial quota implemented by the French Football Federation (FFF).
On another side, the Desert Foxes’ coach, Vahid Halilhodzic, is due to unveil, on Tuesday or Wednesday, the list of players to be called for the next training camp ahead of the friendly games against Tunisia and Cameroon.
