FFS Leader to Punish Members, Officials of his Party

Houcine Ait Ahmed, leader of the Front of Socialist Forces (FFS), called upon bodies of his party to take “preventative measures” against members of the party who committed “shameful behavior” during the electoral campaign.

Ait Ahmed said in a letter addressed to the General Secretariat of the party; “There must be deterrent measures against all bad acts such as, extortion and all forms of pressure by some people or groups against the party during the electoral campaign and after it. I received information for the outrageous acts committed by officials and prominent figures in the party during the elections, and asked them to report all the offenses and recorded in the reports to be discussed in the bodies of the party, and that I would like to be notifying as soon as possible. The call for the rehabilitation of politics and political morality found an echo in the community, therefor it would be unacceptable that the party will not apply the same ideals and role models in this area. The issue of shameful acts that have damaged the party during the elections, will be discussed at the next meeting of the party.The other point to be discussed by the party is related to “preparing the political leadership of our participation in the parliament.”

Houcine Ait Ahmed added in his letter; “Participation of the Socialist Forces Front in 10 May elections was a success. I congratulate the party and its supporters and voters for this victory, before of a fierce concurrent. We should praise the people who stood against it. There are no easy elections, even in countries with ancient democracy. Let alone when it comes to the authoritarian regimes, which use force and fraud to maintain control over all the mechanisms.”
