File Of English Language Accreditation At Universities To Be Submitted To The Government Soon

Higher Education and Scientific Research Ministry has launched a new survey to promote English in Algerian universities in order to broaden the debate and develop a “comprehensive and complete” program that will be submitted to the government for final consideration, and in order to form an understanding generation and to elevate the Algerian University to the ranks of international groups.

Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister, Tayeb Bouzid, wrote on his official Facebook page, that a second questionnaire was launched regarding thinking about and studying the promotion of the use of English language in higher education and scientific research, and how to gradually use it in the fields of training, especially in research and doctorate.

“This questionnaire or survey is very important in order to expand the debate and develop a comprehensive and complete program which will then be submitted to the government for a final decision after review and scrutiny”.

Previously, the minister Tayeb Bouzid announced the inauguration of a joint sectoral think tank comprising specialists in the field and administration officials, where 6 experts were chosen, including professors, researchers, and qualified professionals, especially in linguistics and English.

“The promotion of the English language in universities came to integrate the Algerian student in the world of work and among large and foreign companies, considering that the professors of technology sciences contribute to developing international magazines and international English forums, they have the potential to teach English to the Algerian student, to become a future research language in the Algerian University, this is why it is an imperative need for several considerations, such as the formation of an understanding generation and the promotion of the Algerian University to the ranks of international universities with a set of procedures that will include students and pedagogical teams that frame them.
