Five Generals, 20 Colonels and 90 Lieutenant Colonels newly appointed in the National Gendarmerie

Gendarmerie Command conducted a large movement which included Commanders of regional groups and Border Guards, and Regional Commanders and Heads of Research Teams, as well as Public Security, while the officers were transferred to other jurisdictional groups, at a time others were summoned to join quality positions at the headquarters of the command in Cheragua, Algiers.

According to the details of the movement, the remittances reached the most important post in the state security, and it comes to the leadership of the Coast Guards, as the Major General Boustila, appointed Colonel Dr. Mohammed Berkani, Commander of the Coast Guards, as a result of the changes that are taking place in neighbouring countries such as Tunisia, Libya, Mali, Morocco, and what it poses as a risk on the Algerian borders.

Echorouk sources said that the Colonel Berkani, who served as Director of the Higher School of Gendarmerie in Ysers, was chosen because he is experienced in judicial affairs, and has qualifications in the field of combating crime and security strategy, and his mission is reconsidering and reviewing the roadmap of border security.

Movement included Heads of Border Guard services, as Colonel Abdelkarim Ramli, who benefited from an upgrade at the top of the regional services of Border Guards in Oran, western Algeria, having served as leader of the regional group of Biskra, southern Algeria.

In the rank of Commander of regional groups, leader of the regional group of the gendarmerie in Tlemcen, west of Algeria, Colonel Noureddine Boukhbiza, to occupy the same position in Biskra, succeeding Colonel Abdelkrim Ramli, and the appointment of the Lieutenant Colonel Houcine Bella, commander of the regional group in Jijel, eastern Algeria,  after having occupied the same position in Tipaza, while the commander of regional Group in Skikda, eastern Algeria, Colonel Mahfoud Bousekka, was transferred to the regional group of Blida, western Algeria.
