FM Sabri Boukadoum: “Algeria Is Continuing Efforts To Resolve The Crisis In Libya”

Algeria is continuing its efforts to resolve the crisis in Libya, and there is a possibility of recording positive developments in the next few days, Foreign Minister, Sabri Boukadoum, said Monday on the sidelines of a ceremony that was supervised by the President of the Republic in the People’s Palace on the International Women’s Day.

“Algeria is continuing its efforts to resolve the crisis in Libya. The visit of Abdul-Hadi Al-Huwaij, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Libyan interim government, to Algeria, comes in this context”.

“In the next few days, there will be developments to solve the Libyan crisis, I hope they will be positive”.

Regarding the resignation of Ghassan Salama, the Secretary-General’s Envoy to the United Nations, for health reasons during a sensitive period in Libya, Boukaduom expressed his hope that “another envoy will be appointed as soon as possible and it will be accepted by all parties and he will incline to no party”.

“Despite the modest participation of Algerian women in the diplomatic corps, which has begun to develop in the past few years, there are diplomats, including prominent female ambassadors, who played an important role in this field and have been able, thanks to their efforts, to honour Algeria and Algerian women”.
