Football/ Algeria squad to play friendly versus DR Congo in France but the venue of the match is still anybody's guess
According to reliable sporting sources in France , the Algeria football line-up is scheduled to face DR Congo in a friendly international match on March 26, 2008 in France probably in Oubrofi stadium contrary to the Colombes stadium as previously announced.
However, the Algerian football federation (FAF) has not as yet confirmed the news but in a recent statement, it said that the Algeria-DR Congo friendly would be played in Noisy- le-Sec.
This has added to the confusion surrounding the venue of this match which could be compromised if an urgent solution is not found in the next few days.
DR Congo has to play a friendly against the Gabonese national team, a few days before taking up the Algeria squad.
National coach Rabah Saadane has selected 24 players for the DR Congo match with the exception of midfielder Nadir Belhadj, left at the disposal of his French club Lens, which has a decisive League Cup qualifier on its agenda.
