Properties the Algerian Ministry of Religious Affairs, was subject to an advanced state of systematic looting and unfair chaotic exploitation, and away from the law in many cases, despite the issuance of a legal text that regulates the sector of Islamic and non-islamic Endowments in 1991.

The ugliest way of exploiting these properties is the foreign acquisition of large areas in the luxurious neighborhood in Algiers, which is the neighborhood of Sidi Yahya in Hidra, an area that the price per square meter exceeds 5 million Algerian dinars ‭. ‬

A set of documents, which are available to Echorouk reveal how do Algerian and Lebanese companies hide behind the investment in the promotion of real estate, exploited in an ugly way an area of more than 12.000 m2 area in Sidi Yahia and Bir Mourad Rais (Algiers), a property that was supposed to belong to the Ministry of religious Affairs and Endowments, based on the title certificate unregistered on 19 April 2004 under the number 78 size 389, which was acquired on September 6, 2006 by ministerial decree No. 278, which granted the privilege of endowment exploitation to the Ministry of Religious Affairs ‭and Endowments, in a documented contract ‭on January 9, ‭2007 under the number 58 size 450‭. ‬
