France: 100 Parliamentary questions about Algeria in less than a year
Although more than half a century has passed off after Algeria’s hard-won independence from France, numerous French politicians still consider their country’s former colony as part of their homeland, as evidenced by the permanent presence of Algeria in their speeches and political activities, and this is revealed by recent statistics.
The relevant statistics confirm that the number of Algeria-related questions asked by French MPs to the government of their country attained more than 100 questions between the oral and written ones, in less than a one year period (starting from June 2015 until yesterday).
Analysts note that this is obviously an alarming and abnormal situation to happen in the French parliament that continuously meddle at will with the internal affairs of another country namely Algeria.
Most of the pervasive questions asked by the French MPs tend to glorify the 132 year-long brutal French colonial yoke in Algeria and to highlight the pseudo right of the so-called “Black Feet” to financial compensations for the property they left behind after Algeria’s accession to freedom and independence in July 5th 1962 after untold human sacrifices.
