French Consulate To Apply New Visa Application Procedure

The French Embassy in Algeria announced on Sunday new procedures relating to the visa application exclusively for visa applicants of people who are residing in the area that is covered by the consulate of Algiers.

According to a statement by the embassy, ​​the new procedure will enable visa applicants to register directly via an e-mail at the French consulate’s website in Algiers or at the new VFS Global website, which will replace the TLS Contact center starting from April 9th.

The statement added that the visa application will be implemented through the website https://france-visas.gouv.fr/web/dz, which is open 24 hours a day/24 hours a week.

This website allows Algerians to withdraw the visa application that be attached to the file that is requested by the VFS Global center.

On the other hand, the Center has announced that a schedule of appointments will be placed at the disposal of the visa applicants from now on. In order to obtain an appointment, the new procedure also requires registering electronically on the VFS Global website, which can be accessed through the France-visas website.

According to the source, the applicant must pay the right to receive the appointment within 72 hours of an Algerian loan agency or by electronic payment or bank card.

After finishing all these procedures, the visa applicant will be transferred to the VFS global headquarters that is located in Algiers Oued El Sammar, road of Dar Bida, to file the applications, then the visa applicant can then follow up the file via mobile “SMS” or internet “e-mail”.
