French President Provokes The English Football Fans

French President Emmanuel Macron commented on Saturday evening that two teams from his country qualified for the semi-finals of the European Champions League.

Emmanuel Macron said in a tweet: “France and Germany are the engines of Europe. Chancellor Merkel will not be mad at me for supporting Paris and Lyon …”.

The French Paris Saint-Germain team will play against the German club Leipzig next Tuesday evening, and the French Olympique de Lyon will compete with the German club Bayern Munich the next day. This means that the golden square will have a Franco-Germanian character.

French President Emmanuel Macron tickled the pride of the British fans, by restricting the great powers to the old continent in his country and Germany. Noting that the qualification of the Olympique Lyonnais came at the expense of the English giant Manchester City.

No secret will be disclosed if it is said that there is a clear struggle over European leadership between France, Britain and Germany which roots go back to the nineteenth century, the beginning of colonialism and the plunder of the “white man” of the world’s goods. The French and Germans also used to view the English more as Americans than Europeans. On the other hand, it is also not overlooked that “Shakespeare” remains the linguistic archenemy of his traditional opponent, “Molière”.

In the field of football, the British are proud of being the cradle of this most popular sport in the world. They even put the slogan “The ball returns home” when they organized the European Championship in the summer of 1996.

In his native France, Emmanuel Macron openly supports Olympique de Marseille, while Nicolas Sarkozy supports Paris Saint-Germain, while François Hollande is content with memories of his childhood and his love for the Red Star team, which is based in the capital. In July 1994, President Francois Mitterrand watched the World Cup semi-final match on television at his home and encouraged the Italian national team, not to admire the players of the coach Arrigo Sacchi, but rather to “hate” the Bulgarian competitor, who excluded France from qualifying for this edition of the World Cup, as François Mitterand did not forget how the striker Emil Kostadinov dared in the fall of 1993, and turned off the lights of Paris in the ’90s minutes, as shown by the photos and videos.
