French socialist Arnaud Montebourg: “ I will apologize for the French war crimes if elected presidentâ€
The French socialist candidate for the preliminary presidential elections Arnaud Montebourg has indicated that the first action he would undertake once reaching the Elysee Palace is to “apologize to Algeria†for the atrocities perpetrated against the Algerian people during the colonial period.

He has also asserted that he respected the Algerian standpoint vis-à-vis the Libyan crisis which consists in not interfering in the internal affairs of this nation.

Montbourg has further added that the upcoming president will endeavor to start afresh and wipe out a decade of chaos caused by Nicholas Sarkozy’s policy both at the internal and external levels.
