General Directorate of National Security refuted the accusations against it about the human rights violations inside police stations and the torture of arrested, asserting that there are no oral and written complaints about it.

A statement by the GDNS explains that accusations of some parties and claims about human rights violations in police stations are completely false.
“What was said about police stations are just false accusations, and there is are no cases of torture inside them, as there is no complaint in this regard, neither oral nor written”.
“On this basis, the GDNS is proud of its services which are the General Inspectorate and regional inspectorates and the 48 teams of inspection and control that continue applying the annual plan for inspection which focused always on launching immediate investigation if the complaint is certain against an element of the national security, as immediately after receiving the results of investigations and when law is violated, the accused is referred to the special services”.
“Investigations proved that the few cases that were monitored by the police services on some mistakes concerning the rules of profession, like bad treatment with citizens, and the three cases that were recently recorded in Ghardaia, remain only individual and isolated acts”.
