General Union of Algerian Merchants and Craftsmen: “Traders are Algerian citizens and political parties should stop allegations against usâ€
General Union of Algerian Merchants and Craftsmen said it sad to hear some political parties which exploited the current circumstances in order to pour oil on the fire, resulting in these violent riots which damaged and destructed the traders’ properties.
The Union strongly condemned hands of vandalism asserting that the traders are also simple citizens who were deprived from selling products worth billions across the national territory because of tough measures by the Algerian government.
In its stamen, available to Echorouk, the General Union also rejected the false accusation against traders which said that they are responsible for the recent riots.
It praises government decisions to cut prices of food products, asserting that those measures serve the interests of both traders and consumers because they aim to maintain stability of these prices.
Same Union promised commitment on the application of those procedures taken by the Ministry of Commerce which aim to determine the profit margins and regulation of commercial activity.
