Dozens of young Algerian immigrants in Germany sent distress messages after they become suffering from daily pursuits, and violence by the German police, which initiated the prosecution of immigrants, as they recorded a Six minutes video and send it exclusively to Echorouk.
This video showed youth who are walking in the streets of Stuttgart, in a state of panic and fear, after the security men raided houses where they lived since their arrival to Germany, as they complained of bad treatment by cops who forced them to escape with pyjamas, barefooted and running in the cold streets of Germany and trampling snow which pounded since the beginning of the week.
They told Echorouk; “We represent the Algerian youth, who got tired of the deteriorating living conditions. We had no choice but trying illegal immigration on board of the boats of death. We came to Spain two years ago, then we went to Belgium directly, then we decided to stay in Germany. We have acquired the full rights of refugees, and we used to live in safety, especially after we get the employment and housing opportunities, in the hope of settling our legal situation, but after that the Prime Minister, Abdelmalek Sella, visited Germany, the situation changed, and we suffered from police which chases us day and night. We are living outdoors in these cold days, fearing from arrest and deportation to Algeria, where we did not find any chance of ambitious life. We call upon the Algerian authorities to let us try our chance to build a new future. Algeria is our country, but it’s time to ask for a livelihood outside it, so please leave us alone.”
Previously, Chancellor Angela Merkel, asked the Prime Minister, Abdelmalek Sellal, during his visit to Germany on January 12, to speed up the procedure of deporting the Algerians for whom Germany refused to grant asylum.
