Google celebrates 88th birthday of Iraqi Poet, Nazek al-Malaika
The famous International Google Internet Network has published the photo of the famous Iraqi Poet, Nazik al-Malaika, on front page on Tuesday, on the occasion of the 88th anniversary of her birthday.
Google usually reminds millions of its recipients with the important events and annual memories of the most outstanding icons of science, culture, arts and politics, commemorating the birthday of Poet Malaika, being an outstanding lady poet of the Free Poem, on occasion of 88th birthday anniversary, as she was born in Baghad on Aug.
23, 1923.
Nazik al-Malaika is known to have been one of the leading authors of the Free Poem, as she wrote her first poem, entitled (Cholera) in 1947, considered one of the first poems of the Free Poem in Arab Literature.
Malaika moved to Cairo in 1990, where she lived in a solitary isolation, where she died on June 20, 2007, at the age of 85, for sharp blood circulation problem, and was buried there.
