Governor’s kidnap has nothing to do with security in the Sahel, Interior Minister says
Algiers (18/01/2012) – Kidnapping of Illizi governor, Mohamed Alaid Khalfi has nothing to do with security in the Sahel region, Interior Minister Dahou Ould Kablia says.
The Interior Minister described the kidnapping as an unprepared behavior.
In a statement to the press, on the sidelines of a public meeting at the National Popular Council, Dahou Ould Kablia asserted that the issues has nothing to do with security in the Sahel, adding that it is an improvised initiative.
Previously, the Interior Ministry confirmed officially that Illizi governor was handed over by the Libyan authorities at about 10:50 pm at the border point Adabdab.
