Hajjis suffering from diseases were given fake good health certificates.
They suffer from chronic and contagious diseases and even cancer.Saudi hospitals have received Algerian pilgrims in poor health state suffering from diseases that could have prevented them from making it to Mecca this year. Some of these diseases were prostate cancer and lungs inflammations in addition to women in advanced stages of pregnancy. Figures this year already show that pilgrims suffering from chronic diseases have increased while they could get certificates from doctors to head for the holy lands for Hajj. Numerous Algerian pilgrims are laying in Saudi hospitals being treated for even contagious diseases dangerous for other Hajjis who are longing to start the most important days of the Hajj on this 08 to 10 Dhu Al Hijja (November 03rd to November 06th 2011) days that need good health state and good physical conditions. This will push the Algerian official Delegation to use ambulances to transport Hajjis from Mecca to Mena and Arafat with a medical staff for the first time for Algerian Hajjis in Mena. But the most astonishing story remains that of doctors delivering good health certificates to pilgrims suffering from either chronic diseases or contagious ones. This will for sure push the Algerian Religious Affairs Ministry start investigating on medical staffs that enabled such ill people to do the Hajj this year ignoring the risk they incur for themselves and for other Hajjis that are in good health state. The religion stipulates that the Hajj is a must for those who can afford accomplishing it including those who have the material and physical means to face up a long and exhausting journey in the Holy Lands of Mecca. On the other hand, Algerian pilgrims continue suffering from staying in hotels far from mosques in Mecca especially. Meanwhile, pilgrims who headed for Saudi Arabia from Annaba airport expressed their strong discontent after they were allowed to stay only one day in Medina instead of six days, which was insufficient for them to do all the visits they were planning and preventing them from doing their prayer in the Media mosque.
