heavy rains kill 10 in Algeria
Recent heavy rains in Algeria killed 10 people and injured 51 others throughout the country, said civil protection authority today in a statement.

24 hours of heavy rains and a devastating wind caused several street accidents as well as collapse of roofs and houses mainly in rural areas.

The provinces of Batna and Mila East of Algeria recorded the largest death toll with 3 each. They also respectively witnessed 7 and 4 injured.

In the capital Algiers a man was killed under debris of his house in the district of El Biar. Three other people perished in the provinces of Tiaret, Tlemcen and Bouira.
