Telemcen-Number of Algerian Researchers who have returned homeland reaches 101 since the inclusion of an article that contains a series of concessions, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Rachid Heroubia told Echorouk during a press conference on the sidelines of his visit to the city’s university here on Monday.

“Over 1500 university researchers applied demands to the ministry in order to return and contribute to the activation of scientific life at the Algerian universities”, the minister added in his response to Echorouk question about the response of Algerian researchers to return home leaving the largest international universities.

“There would be no white year in Algeria because the ministry responded to all demands of students. The phenomenon of protests in Algerian universities is normal as long as it does not exceed pedagogical and social frames of both students and teachers”, he explained the situation of Algerian universities which noticed a series of protests and sit-ins affecting the school year’s program.

Minister Heraoubia expressed his admiration for the achievements of universities and educational institutions in Telemcen (west of Algeria), asserting that they are a reference for real work for the future of academic institutions.

“Protests and demands by pharmacists and dentists are legitimate ambitions in the benefit of students. Every problem has a solution. The program that was approved in 1971 defines the way of forming pharmacists and dentists and the graduation of this category and explains everything. There is no embarrassment in responding to their demands, but we have to discuss things with specialists of the field because they are the only people who can develop a program and basic promises for granting graduations throughout setting specific targets”.
