Humanitarian Aids to Arrive Syria in Coming Days, Medelci

Foreign Minister Mourad Medelci expressed Thursday the wish of Algeria to see the Arab and international efforts achieve a “satisfactory solution” to the Syrian issue, noting that there have been “opportunities” so that humanitarian aids to be carried to Syria.

In a joint press conference with his Italian counterpart, Giulio Terzi Di Sant’Agata, Mr Medelci reiterated Algeria position that suggests that the solution to Syrian crisis stands within the hands of Syrians themselves. He further said that hopefully diplomatic efforts being deployed currently would convince all the disputing parties to take on their historic responsibility towards the Syrian people and the international community. He further called the disputing parties for a peaceful dialogue, saying the crisis in Syria is shouldered by both parties. Mr Medelci expressed the regret of Algeria towards the amounting death toll in the violence-ridden Syria, saying however that some media tends to provide misleading news on the situation there. Meanwhile, Mr Medelci indicated that there have been “opportunities” so that humanitarian aids to be carried to Syria, adding that the aids are likely to enter the troubled Middle Eastern nation in the few upcoming days.
