Hundreds of Tunisian protesters tried to enter Algeria soil illegally

Tebessa (east of Algeria) – Services of the border guards and gendarmerie prevented over 100 Tunisians from entering the Algerian on Thursday.

Over 100 Tunisians tried to sneak out the Algerian territories through Al Kouif region in Tebessa (east of Algeria), and Al Oyoun border point.

A source from the region said the Tunisians came from Al Kalaa in Kaf and wished to enter the Algerian soil in order to ask for residence and transmit their daily social sufferance and hard living conditions which increased due to cold and bad weather which swept the region during the recent days.

Algerian security services tried to convince them that they must enter Algeria legally through the border center. After negotiations the Tunisian protesters decided to return back to their homelands, under control and monitoring of Algeria’s border guard in anticipation of potential return of Tunisians.
