Illizi Court: Seven infiltrated Libyans accused of forming a terrorist group
The seven Libyans rounded up ten days ago by the forces of the National People’s Army (ANP) were brought before the Prosecutor of the Court of Illizi (southern Algeria), which has become of late an entrenched camp on this occasion with a strong presence of combined security services.
As a reminder, in the context of the sustained struggle against terrorism, smuggling, organized crime and illegal immigration, on January 12th, 7 Libyan terrorists were arrested in the Hassi-Kiout area (Illizi) by elements of an ANP detachment under the North-Eastern operational command of southern In-Amenas province.
The operation also resulted in the seizure of a consignment of arms consists of 4 automatic rifles Kalashnikov rifles, four 4 shotguns and a sniper rifle, as well as a large quantity of ammunition, binoculars and two combat clothing and the recovery of three all-terrain vehicles.
The seven armed Libyan terrorists who infiltrated into Algeria from Libya are accused of forming a criminal association, with the aim of harming the interests of the country through acts of terrorism, first-type arms smuggling and illegal immigration, in accordance with Article 87A 1 and the following others of the Penal Code.
