Imams of France to be Unified under a Charter to Counter Islamophobia

Muslim community in France launched the code of honor for the imams of mosques, which aims to improve the reality of the community in Europe, as dictated by the living conditions, especially with the terrible rise of Islamophobia which reached, according to the latest studies, over 480% following the tragic events in France.

Vice Chairman of the French Regional Council for the Islamic Religion, Walid Enaas, said the Charter of Mosques between municipalities, the province and mosques in the area of Rohn Alpe is the idea of the President of the French Council of the Islam Religion, Abdelkader Ben Didi, in the region, after the events of last November 13, as it aims to avoid confusion between Islam and terrorism, and it strengthens the friction between the Imam and the attendees of the mosques in order to be more familiar with their social situation, as it collected  in the beginning 140 Imams and 45 Presidents of the Assembly.

“Most important points that are contained in the Charter, there is the founding of Imams’ Council in France to achieve a unified vision for the gathering of all the people in France and consider the problems of the community there, along the lines with the mixed and customary marriages, and the unification of the fatwa for residents in France, rather than relying on foreign opinions that does not know the true reality of the community in Europe. In addition to the openness of society to Islam through the mosques, seminars and lectures that allow the communication with Muslims and encouraging more dialogue between different religions and cultures.

“The training of imams and teaching them the French and secular language is important, so as not to slam into the French reality and go to mosques to learn more about the needs of people.”

“Islamophobia in France rose by 480% after the events of France after it was 300% after the Charlie Hebdo events, as shown by recent studies.”

“There is a lack of the number of mosques in France compared to the number of the Muslim community, which is estimated according to the latest statistics between 7 and 9 million, and possibly the number is much larger, and based on this the process required at least 35.000 mosques to accommodate everyone, especially in Friday prayers, as worshipers were forced to invade roads, which is forbidden in France.
