Interior Minister to Echorouk: “We will not interfere to resolve FLN party conflicts”
Interior Ministry will not interfere in the internal affairs of the parties, whatever their political composition and their size, even if it comes to the National Liberation Front, referring to the need to respect the principle of neutrality which governs the relationship of the ministry with the other political parties,Interior Minister Dahou Ould Kablia said.
“We will not grant license for the meeting of the Central Committee of FLN, in the current circumstances, even if it met the conditions. No official in Algeria has the power to prevent an organizational meeting or work of activists of parties, including the meeting of members of the central Committee of the FLN in Bourouba last Friday”, he added.
Ould Kablia told Echorouk, in response to a question concerning the possibility of the license for an emergency meeting of the Central Committee of the FLN; ” We will not give licence for the meeting of the Central Committee of whatever the number of those who call for this decision, because the law is clear and requires availability of a set of conditions, including the signatures of two thirds of the Central Committee, and to notify Secretary-general of the party because he is the only person authorized to invite the Committee for the meeting, and if he ignored the matter and did not respond to the owners of the notice within 10 days, it must be registered it in the presence of a court’s official. The electoral campaign was launched and time does not allow any meeting, and the principle of neutrality which frames our ties with parties dictates that we should not intervene in the internal affairs of the political parties, because we belief that their problems should be resolved in their parties and between the activists”.
