Italian State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr Manlio Di Stefano, pays a working visit to Algeria, here on Wednesday.
The Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement, that “within the framework of the regular political consultations between Algeria and Italy included in the framework of the Treaty of Friendship, Good Neighborliness and Cooperation between the two countries, Manlio Di Stefano, the State Secretary of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, pays a working visit, on September 23, 2020, to Algeria ”.
“The Italian official will have, during this visit, discussions with the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Chakib Rachid Kayed, and with many senior Algerian officials as well”, the statement added.
“Talks will mainly focus on examining the reality and prospects of bilateral cooperation.”
“Bilateral scheduling will be at the centre of these discussions, especially the fourth session of the high-level bilateral meeting, and the business forum that will precede it.”
During the event, and following the commitments made by the Algerian and Italian higher authorities, the two countries will supervise the official installation of the Algerian-Italian mixed technical committee charged with delineating the maritime boundary between Algeria and Italy.
