Uncles Zaidi was the brave Algerian soldier who saved Le Pen's life

French racist politician Jean-Marie Le Pen was asked in the Seventies about the man who owes him his life, he replied without hesitation that his name is Buabda Zaidi, without saying that an Algerian or Arab or Muslim saved his life in the Vietnam War, and that was in a fierce battle during which wounded Le Pen was injured.

Mr. Zaidi Buabda, 86 lives in Ain Azal south of Setif (eastern Algeria), we asked about him and we found him leaning on the wall of his house, and without introductions he tells us about his story with the former head of the French National Front, Le Pen, as al-Zaidi was one of the Algerians who were recruited by France unwillingly to participate in the Indochine war, wo he found himself in 1954 a soldier in the battalion led by Jean-Marie Le Pen, who was lieutenant.

In one of the hard battles in the zone of Medine, the fire was raging between the two parties, Le Pen was hit by a grenade thrown by a Vietnamese soldier, then he fell to the ground, and shrapnel injured him in his eye which is still marking until today.

While Le Pen surrendered to death, the Algerian soldier Zaidi intervened and started shooting Vietnaese soldiers until he became close to Le Pen and carried him on his shoulder, and removed him from the battlefield. Le Pen received first aid and survived thanks to uncle al-Zaidi, who tells us his story with Le Pen saying that Le Pen was the leader of a battalion, but he was famous with cheese and fear of participating in the war, and reached up the state of crying, as he used to avoid the first row in battle, prefering to moving back, in order to let the Algerians and Moroccans in the face of the Vietnamese and stand at the forefront of Corps.

“I used to encourage him, and every time I tried to help him avoid fears, I gave him advice in the implementation of war plans, and correct many of his errors, which proved that he was bad in war and fighting.
