The Judge of the Court of Appeals of Bouira province in eastern Algeria has decided to postpone for the second time in a row the legal case of defendant “Waad es Sadek” for lack of the judicial record of the person concerned namely Moulay Salah.

As a matter of fact, the Sour el-Ghozlane Tribunal, which had delivered its verdict in the swindling case of the “financial empire” of defendant Waad es Sadek, was slow to convey his file to the Court of Appeals of Bouira.

The accused, Moulay Salah, was sentenced to ten years in prison and a fine of fifty million centimes in Dinars in the first trial.

This much-publicized case was also adjourned to ensure the presence at the court-hearing of the rest of the other defendants, including the main accused, a situation which angered the 500 victims of this widespread fraud case and triggered off violent disturbances inside the courtroom with death threats were being leveled at the accused.

This pandemonium prompted the evacuation of the court-room by the police of the fraud victims, some of whom came from far away, amid scenes of shouting, weeping and fainting to allow the presiding judge to continue the legal proceedings.

They later continued their protests outside the Court before being dispersed peacefully but greatly dismayed at the unexpected turn of events after the intervention of the collective lawyer.

Furthermore, the Court is slated to hand down a ruling on January 13th 2016 in another case involving defendant Moulay Salah and his accomplices on the basis of a complaint lodged by Mr Tahkout for bad check issuance.
