Large movement of transfers for judges, prosecutors and mayors
The Supreme Judicial Council will launch a large movement in the sector of judges, prosecutors and mayors with a rate of 20%, which is equivalent to 800 judges, while the same body will meet with the Minister of Justice to decide about the movement of transfers for the rest of jobs and judicial offices, as it is expected to reach the heads of chambers, counsellors and prosecutors, assistants, heads of courts, Prosecutors of the Republic, investigating magistrates and judges, as the Supreme Council will also approve, in the same meeting, on the lists of promotions, as it will appoint 90 women judges in positions of responsibility, especially the President of Court and the Agent of the Republic.
Justice sources told Echorouk, that the list of transfers and promotions in the sector of judges are ready and waiting for the meeting of the Supreme Judicial Council, which in turn is waiting for a signal from of the first judge of the country’s Abdelaziz Bouteflika, to the Minister of Justice to chair the meeting and put the final seal on the list.
Same sources added that the movement will reach more than 800 judges and General Attorneys and the President of the Council, which represents 20% of the total judges, a movement which is described by the Minister of Justice as “extensive”, as the movement ofremittances also adopted years of service, as the judges who occupied positions for 5 years in the south and 7 years in the north were transferred automatically, as a large number of women will be appointed in the judicial functions of quality and positions of responsibility,pursuant to Abdelaziz Bouteflika’s instructions, who acknowledged giving women a wider participation in the institutions and bodies, and a considerable number of judges will retire.
Echorouk sources revealed on anticipated promotions in the sector, including a large number of advisers and agents of the Republic and the investigating judges, in addition to that, the Minister of Justice Mohammed Charfi, reopened the file of the judges who were dismissed, andthat was closed during the period of his predecessor Tayeb Belaiz, expressing his willingness to find a solution and settle the status of 314dismissed judges, to coincide with the movement of transfers and upcoming promotions.
