Libya's NTC leader Mustafa Abdeldjalil holds talks with Bouteflika
Head of the Libyan National Transition Council, Mustafa Abdul Jalil, arrives here on Sunday in Algeria for a two day state visit.
This is the second visit of a Libyan official to Algeria since the fall of Gaddafi regime. Security file and the need for coordination to secure the borders of the Sahel will be discussed, and the four pending issues are expected to decide about the future relationships between the two countries.
According to Echorouk sources, the visit of the head of the LTC, Mustafa Abdul Jalil to Algeria, even if it was programmed time ago but it was a surprise, given the time difference between the official media which was received by the foreign ministry and the timing chosen by Abdul Jalil for the visit.
The same sources added that the security situation in the region and the events in Mali are behind this urgent visit, which has purely security reasons, in view of the nature of the files that will be discussed, and that had already been paved by the visit of Libyan Interior Minister to Algeria the end of last month. The situation in Mali was more than worrying to Algeria, and requires the preparation of an integrated security plan to impose coordination between all the Sahel countries without exception, and Libya in particular.
