Long queues, citizens wait for three hours in front of Post Offices

Open strikes that were initiated by workers of the Post Offices last Wednesday expanded to include 30 Wilayas, where the percentage of response reached 60%, while the workers rejected the decision that was issued by the institution on Monday, ordering the inclusion of the second part of the compensation, estimated at 30,000 dinars, and insisting on not returning to their positions until the disbursement of compensation at once, and demanded the investigation in the conduct of the institution, at a time the minister dispatched his representatives to listen to the strikers.

Strike of the workers of Post Offices make the event, in light of the insistence of workers on their demands,  and their refusal to return to work until the immediate application of the list of demands that was agreed upon, including the disbursement of compensations at once, as well as making things clear on the wage scale that was signed recently, and portraying it officially starting from August, and denounced what they described as “Random decisions”, that were taken by the management of the enterprise, in order to absorb the anger of the workers, similar to the actions that were taken by the Director General, who promised to pump 30.000 dinars in August 25, and considered it no more than only complicating the situation, because they are still unaware of the nature of the grant which they received last July, in light of the conflicting decisions that were issued by the Post Office since the beginning of the strike.Workers wonder about the reason for the escape of the institution’s management from spending Financial revenues, and giving the pretext every time of the problem of liquidity, and the risk of bankruptcy that faces it, at the time officials do not hesitate to receive huge sums every three months up to 180 million centimes, as a grant of effectiveness, making the Director-General responsible for the rotten situations.

They said the grant which they benefited from it last month, was not included in the payroll, thing which prevented many of those who retired before 2011, to benefit from increases in the pensions, despite years of service, as the workers in the new network of wages that was signed in July 2011, said they are not sure of this decision, on the grounds that the administration approved an increase in the wage base, while the grants remained the same, accusing the Management Enterprise to convince them, especially since the decision of the grant has not been approved by the Board of Directors.
