Lotfi Raissi Tells His Story

Algerian pilot, Lotfi Raissi, who was the first person charged in connection with the September 11, 2001 attacks, has released a book entitled “The 20th Suicide Bomber Has Never Existed: A Story of Manipulation of US and British Intelligence Services.”

Taken by panic and pressure of 9/11 attacks of al-Qaeda, the US and the British services have seen in the Algerian pilot, 27 years old at that time, their ideal suspect.

Raissi reveals in his new book abuses he inflicted by British and US intelligence services during his illegal detention. He was arrested, baselessly, and charged of providing training to the kamikazes of Bin Laden. The FBI and their British collegues looked happy to announce the arrest of the first suspect.

Raissi was, however, a mere scapegoat. Raissi was then looking at his life and career falling apart, while his family was hit by an everlasting shock, which could not be healed, despite being acquitted after a longue judicial battle.

Nevertheless, the Algerian pilot has been seeking rehabilitation and reconsideration compensation eight years after the nightmare.
