Louisa Hanoune: “Administration favours Belkhadem and Ouyahia to the detriment of other party leaders”

The Secretary General of the Workers Party (PT), Mrs Louisa Hanoune, has accused the Administration of covertly backing the leaders of the RND and FLN parties, Ahmed Ouyahia and Abdellaziz Belkhadem respectively, in the ongoing election campaign for the May 10th legislative elections in Algeria.

• Mrs Louisa Hanoune vehemently blasted such “unfair practices” stressing they were contrary to the solemn promises of a just and transparent poll made by the Head of State Mr Abdellaziz Bouteflika.

• Taking the floor during a press conference Tuesday at her party’s premises in Algiers, Mrs Louisa Hanoune indicated that her party militants were facing hurdles and logjams in several parts of the country on their campaign trail on account of the “Administration’s shady maneuverings and double-dealings” during this bumpy election campaign, as she put it.

• She said that the Administration should adopt a neutral and unbiased attitude as far as the upcoming parliamentary elections are concerned in keeping with the relevant laws and regulations.
