MAK’s member visits Morocco to raise conflict among Algerians
Morocco provoked Algeria once again via the Kabylie’s Self-determination Movement (MAK). Its leading member Nadia Ait Aissa received an official invitation to attend an event in Marrakech.
The MAK posted a release on its website, saying the National Secretary of Relations with Amazigh People in the movement Nadia Ait Aissa visited the south of Morocco. This was as ahead of the League of Mountain Inhabitants in the World upon invitation from its chairman Mohand Mimouni and the President of the Tamazight World Congress Kamira Nait Said.
The MAK published details about the visit, saying its representative went to Morocco to spread brotherhood and solidarity message among Amazighs.
Ait Aissa talked about the Ghardaia events, saying that Algerian authorities oppressed Muzabit people and put them in jail.
She added that she exchanged experiences with Tamazigh activists. She talked with them about future plans and some common points between Morocco and Algeria.
She also said she was surprised by activists who learn words repeated by the MAL’s leader Ferhat Mhenni by heart. “Others know the history of Algeria’s Kabylie.”
She promised to come back to Morocco because there are still “many things to be done to free Amazighs.
This visit shows contradiction with Morocco’s declared position. Few days ago, its King Mohamed the Sixth expressed a “good intention” to normalize relations with Algeria.
