Malian terrorists plan to hit algeria's stability

Criminal court of Ouergla judicial council sentenced in its second ordinary session, 20 years in prison, and one million dinars as a fine, against 14 Malian accused from the cities of Gao and Kidal, as their ages range between 20 and 40 years, on charges of joining a terrorist group which target the security of the country and national integrity, and the crime of importing and carrying weapons and ammunition, without a licence from the legally competent authority, and misdemeanour of illegal entry to the national territory.

The case’s facts back to January 2013 in Djanet, Illizi, southern Algeria, after a terrorist group tried to sneak out to the national territory on board of a car type Toyota Station, as one of them exploded due to a bomb, bug the Algerian armed troops cordoned off the group using two helicopters, before the marines followed them and arrested terrorists who were heavily armed with various weapons that were smuggled from Libya.

Over 74 Kalashnikovs, 41 FM, 2 RPG, and 185 RPG missiles and 123 anti-tanks missiles were seized, and the terrorists were transferred to justice, while the accused denied before the court what was said against them, and confirmed that they wanted to return back to Mali to fight the French colonials, adding that they went to Libya especially to bring arms to defend their nation, and that they belong to Azawad movement.
