Military operation killed 16 terrorists : minister says

The Algerian interior minister Noureddine Yazid Zerhouni has indicated that the last joint security operation carried out in the region of “Laarbaa” (50 kms west of Algiers) on Saturday night led to the elimination of 16 terrorists from the “Salafit Group for Call and Combat”.

• On the other hand, the minister added that the authorities are setting up a plan to secure the presidential elections slated for April 9 against terror attacks. 
• He added that this security device will consist in protecting the polling stations; the voters and special are designed to assure the candidates’ security.
